McTeggart School Dress Information

The McTeggart Dress has a center pleat and two side pleats in the front and two side pleats in the back. The dress is made of Black Velveteen and the skirt is lined in black satin, except for the center pleat which is red satin on the front and on the inside of the skirt. It helps to line the bodice of the dress with a black cotton to help make the dress more comfortable for your dancer.
The Embroidered Panels:
You can embroider the panels yourself, they are done in a chain stitch on white satin, or you can order them done by machine.

There are five (5) panels on each dress; two (2) right hand dogs, two (2) left hand dogs, and the heart motif that goes on the bodice. The panels are sized depending on the dress size your making:
Extra Large 15-1/2” x 10-1/2”
Large 13-1/2” x 9-1/2”
Medium 12-1/2” x 8-1/2”
Small 10-1/2” x 7-1/4”

The dress collar is a 2" wide white Traditional pattern.
You want it to be as long as your dress neckline is around.
You won't need the button loop on it.
